Ho! Vanguardians,

We're now in the final 24 hours to make changes to your pledge in the pledge manager. You MUST complete the pledge manager to give us your correct shipping address and pay for shipping, otherwise you will not receive your pledge. Thank you to the 2,021 people that have completed their pledge manager but there are still more than 300 outstanding.

Credit cards will be charged tomorrow (March 1st). If your card is declined or there are any other problems, you'll receive a notification.

Also, our studio painter has been busy painting the 3D prints of the Basileans, so we've taken a few quick snaps in the office. Bear in mind these were taken on a phone camera, rather than by our studio photographer so the quality is ok-ish.

This is mainly a gentle reminder that you've only got a couple of days left to complete the pledge manager. Remember, you need to complete your pledge manager to ensure we've got the correct shipping address and pay the shipping for your order, otherwise we won't be able to send your items.

Ho! Vanguardians,

Firstly, thank you to all the 1,717 people that have completed their BackerKit pledge manager so far. We hope the process has been as smooth as possible.

However, there are still 616 backers that need to complete their survey. Remember, you must complete the survey to pay for shipping, add any optional extras and make sure we have the correct shipping address.

More Giant Renders

Ho! Vanguardians,

Just a very quick update because we've got some good news regarding the plastic giant. It will now be coming with alternate arms and a head - so you've got some options when putting it together. You can also remove the fur pelt from around his neck too to help give multiple giants a different look.

We've also got some new renders, which are stunning!

Ho! Vanguardians,

We're pleased to say that the beta rules are now available and we want YOU to get involved. This is your chance to help develop the core warbands that will appear in the rulebook.

The main rules are pretty much locked down at this point so only some clarifications or minor edits are expected or required. Otherwise they are good to go.

The playtest scenario is the same as the one in the Alpha – it’s simple and is useful for balancing the forces. The other scenarios that will appear in the book will be tested once initial balancing work has been done on the faction lists.

Factions – the beta will initially only focus on the BASIC army lists that will appear in the book for each faction. The full lists will then be tested once the core elements have been and points values etc. have been balanced between and within the factions. Kickstarter backers will get the expanded lists (card decks) for the warbands they've pledged to receive, e.g. Nightstalkers, Basileans, Forces of the Abyss and Northern Alliance.

HOW TO TAKE PART

Play some games! And then post feedback on the Mantic Forum in one of the following ways:

• Create a [BATREP] thread where you describe your game, the make-up of the warbands and the result. Include any good or bad points about the rules or the units in the game. Is anything too good or too weak? Is anything pointed incorrectly? (e.g. thread subject “[BATREP] Dwarfs vs FoN”). If a combo is too powerful or a game breaking selection of units is possible (e.g. spamming something) this also needs highlighting (in fact please go out of your way to find them so we can fix them!).
• Create a [DISCUSSION] thread for a particular topic you want covered. (e.g. “[DISCUSSION] Should trees be allowed to branch out?”)
• Create a [SUGGESTION] thread if you have a good idea you would like considered. (e.g. “[SUGGESTION] Pink goblins in rah-rah skirts”)

The main goal of the beta is to get the balance and points values right for all the core units in the lists, plus make sure all abilities are useful. We’ve included a smattering of command, support models etc. If a warband is hard to build due to the units we’ve made available, let us know and we’ll juggle things around.

GIANT 3D PRINT

 We've also just had delivery of the 3D print of the massive 180mm Fantasy Giant. Those of you who backed at the $150 Giant Pledge level will be getting this monster as part of your pledge, or you can add it to pledges for $25 in the pledge manager.
