Pledge Managers have been sent!

Ho! Vanguardians,

We've now pressed the big green button to send out all the pledge managers. You will receive an email from Backerkit asking you to log in and complete the survey. If you haven't been sent the email you can access the pledge manager here: https://kings-of-war-vanguard.backerkit.com/

In order for us to deliver your pledge, you must complete the pledge manager with your address details and pay shipping for your pledge. The deadline for completing your pledge manager is February 28th and cards will be charged on March 1st.

You can also add any optional extras to your pledge in Backerkit too. Simply add the items you want to your basket and it will then calculate the total. It will also calculate the total shipping cost too. This is based on the combined weight of any optional extras you select.

Thanks again for supporting this project. We're currently busy behind the scenes getting everything ready to deliver and the rules writing, sculpting, etc. is going very well. 

Finally, as a little treat, here's a render of the standard giant. Remember, this bad boy is 180mm tall so will look incredibly impressive striding across your battlefield.

Pledge Manager Update

Very quick update to let you know that the pledge manager will be coming out next week. We've just got to iron out a couple of bits and then test it before we can send it out to everyone. Apologies for the slight delay but we just want to make sure it's all as smooth as possible.

Ho! Vanguardians,

Just wanted to give you a quick update to let you know that things are progressing very nicely with the project. Matt Gilbert is busy on the book and we'll be holding some special playtest days here at Mantic HQ - stay tuned for more details on those, if you'd like to attend.

Elsewhere Rob is putting the finishing touches to the pledge manager to make sure it's all running smoothly. The current plan is for that to launch towards the end of next week. We'll be using BackerKit again, which has always proved to be very easy to use.

Finally, Stewart is receiving lots of lovely renders for the miniatures that we only had concept art for during the Kickstarter. You can see some of those below. Fingers crossed we'll be back next week with details of the pledge manager. In the meantime, enjoy the renders below...

Hi Vanguardians,

Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. This just a very short update to let you know that things are progressing nicely for Vanguard and we'll have an update soon with more renders of the miniatures we couldn't show you during the campaign.

Also, we're pleased to announce that we'll be working with BackerKit once again for the pledge manager. We're working on it at the moment and it'll be opened later this month. Stay tuned for details about when it's open.

In the pledge manager you'll be able to add any extras to your pledge and we'll also have late pledges available for those that missed out on the campaign.

Ho! Vanguardians,

That's it, the Kings of War: Vanguard Kickstarter is over and it's been one heck of a ride. We admit, we got off to a shaky start but things have progressed fantastically over the past couple of weeks and that Giant Pledge certainly lives up to its name. Thanks to your incredible support you've helped to develop:

• 128-page Kings of War: Vanguard rulebook

• New miniatures for the Basileans, including hard plastic Men at Arms

• New miniatures for the Nightstalkers, including hard plastic Scarecrows/Spectres

• New miniatures for the Abyssals

• An entirely new faction for Kings of War: the Northern Alliance

• Ronnie's resin Dwarf Warband

• New TerrainCrate objectives and scenery

• Three mercenaries, including the Mantic mascot, Blaine

• A massive freakin' giant!

What's more you've also ensured the continued growth of Kings of War. Vanguard will be a great entry point for new players and help build the community in your local area. The new units for Vanguard will be introduced in Kings of War too, helping to keep the game fresh well into the future thanks to new units and heroes.

Of course, Vanguard is also going to be an amazing game in its own right and over the next few months we'll be busy testing all the various armies and there may be opportunities for you to get involved too, so stay tuned. We've had great fun developing the game so far and can't wait to get stuck into the remaining warbands and the campaign system.

WHAT NEXT?

The pledge manager is due to be sent round in January, so you've got some time to recover after Christmas. We'll keep the pledge manager open until the end of February, so for those of you looking to add some extras to your pledge, you'll have plenty of time. Funds should start to be collected by Kickstarter within the next few days, so keep an eye on your bank accounts.

We didn't quite reach the stretch goal for the alternate Frost Fang Cavalry during the campaign, however any funds pledged during the pledge manager will count towards that target, so we're pretty confident they'll be unlocked.

All that remains is for us to say thanks again for supporting us on Kickstarter and we can't wait to get Vanguard into your hands. Thank you!
